1. Who We Are and What We Collect

This Privacy Policy explains how Lori Pine, The JOY CEO ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit www.loripine.com, join our email list, or buy or join our offers: executive coaching, The Connect membership, and The Extreme Gratitude Guide.

Information you give us

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address if needed.
• Account and order details: what you purchased, your membership tier, and your billing name and address.
• Coaching information: notes, goals, intake forms, and anything you share in sessions or coaching materials.
• Community content: your profile, posts, comments, and messages in The Connect community on Circle, and your voice, image, and comments on recorded calls.
• Anything you send us by email, forms, surveys, or social media messages, plus event details such as RSVPs, travel plans, and any dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and referring website.
• Cookies, pixels, and similar tools that help our site and emails work and show us what's useful. See Section 2.

Payment information. Payments are handled through Kajabi and its payment processors, such as Stripe or PayPal. We don't see or store your full card number.

2. How We Use and Share Your Information

How we use it

• Deliver what you bought: coaching sessions, membership access, and digital downloads.
• Process payments, send receipts, and handle billing and support.
• Send emails you've signed up for, such as newsletters, updates, and offers.
• Improve our site, content, and services.
• Keep our community safe and follow the law.

Who we share it with. We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job. These include:

• Kajabi, which we use for sales, checkout, and transactional emails like receipts and order confirmations, and Circle, which hosts The Connect community.
• Email marketing tools, such as Kajabi and Circle which we use for email newsletters and recap emails.
• Scheduling and video call tools, such as Zoom and Calendly which we use for coaching calls and The Connect Calls as well as any The JOY CEO Live events. We use Calendly for call scheduling and call remidners.
• Analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel insights and paid ads.
• Professional advisors, like accountants or attorneys, when needed.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect rights or safety, or if the business is sold or merges. We'll tell you if that happens.

Coaching confidentiality. What you share in coaching stays confidential, as described in our Terms & Conditions. It is not used in marketing in any way that identifies you without your permission.

Community content. Things you post in The Connect are visible to other members. Please don't share anything you want kept private.

Recorded calls. The Connect includes live calls that we record. Recordings may include your name, voice, image, and anything you say or type in chat, and they're shared with members inside Circle. Tell us before a call if you'd prefer not to appear, and we'll work with you.

In-person events. The Connect hosts in-person events about once a quarter. For these, we will collect RSVPs via paid deposits, contact details, and any dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share. We may take photos and video at events and use them to promote our work. If you'd rather not be photographed, tell us when you pay your deposit and we'll respect it. We share event details only with venues, caterers, or travel partners who need them to run the event.

Cookies and tracking. We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how people use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well. We use advertising pixels to show relevant ads and measure results.

3. Your Choices and Rights

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails any time using the link at the bottom of any email. We'll still send essential messages about your purchases or membership.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, fix it, or have it deleted. Email us at lori@loripine.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We may keep some information if the law requires it, such as payment records.

State and regional rights. Depending on where you live, such as California, Colorado, Virginia, or the EU/UK, you may have extra rights, including the right to opt out of certain data uses and to receive a copy of your data. We honor those requests.

Keeping your data safe. We use reasonable safeguards such as secure platforms and limited access. No method of sending or storing data online is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as needed to serve you, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Children. Our services are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Third-party links. Our site may link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
